Culture Content Boosts Brand Perception
When it comes to TikTok, at least, our 'culture content' always outperforms our product-based content at Stay22! Though some might say that this type of content is not necessarily lead-generation focused, it has a tremendous impact on our brand perception in the market. Building trust in your community through authentic and organic behind-the-scenes content can go a long way in humanizing your brand with your target audience. It also plays a powerful role in HR/recruiting!
Viral Content Offers Novel Experiences
My first viral piece of content was an article I wrote two years ago about how to use Twitter for business. It wasn't very excellent, but it brought up points that many people hadn't considered, such as using Twitter lists not for engagement, but for listening in on discussions to discover what's being shared and creating material based on the most popular ideas.
In my opinion, viral content frequently touches on mundane areas of everyday life while providing the customer with an experience they have never had before. That is why it resonates with so many individuals. I've been attempting to develop something viral like that again, but haven't had as much success. Clearly, viral content is less about the creator as much as it is about the content.
Stylish Outfit Ideas Gain Search Traction
A single piece of content that (unexpectedly) went viral for my brand was 'The Perfect Outfit: Black Shirt and Pants Combination Ideas.' Over the past months, it has consistently ranked high on search engines and has seen high impressions and engagement. The content piece showed how to pair black shirts with various pant styles, presenting stylish looks for different occasions. I think there were multiple reasons why it worked so well.
First, it had high-quality images that created an engaging experience while helping with SEO. Second, black shirts are a staple wardrobe option, thus appealing to a large audience segment. Third, our content provided practical and flexible advice, which meant a lot of customers returned later for more styling advice.
Problem-Solving TikTok Drives Traffic
The first TikTok video that we posted (as an idea validation test) for Top Apps went viral. That's how I knew I was onto something.
It gave me the confidence to invest in building my business and growing a team.
What resonated is that it highlighted a pain point and solved a problem, all within 30 seconds. The comments and engagement on the video reinforced that the video answered questions our audience had. We went from 0 to 14,000 website visitors overnight. Pretty sweet.
Authentic Testimonial Video Sparks Virality
One piece of content that went viral for our brand was a short video showcasing a heartwarming customer testimonial and the impact our product had on their life. It resonated with our audience due to its authentic storytelling, emotional appeal, and relatability, evoking empathy and connection among viewers. This genuine representation of our product's value and positive impact struck a chord with our audience, driving widespread sharing and engagement across social media platforms.
